Peter Pine Stool

CONCEPT: Peter is part of a range designed as a contemporary replacement to what presently exists within the pine furniture market. A second material was used to refresh our perception of pine furniture. DESIGN: Peter is a light weight folding stool based on an A-frame construction. The seat fits cleanly over the frame and is held with two bolts into a beam running along Peter’s back. A steel support holds the legs in place. Peter is flat packed for transport/storage. MATERIALS: The pine frame is from a renewable resource. Parts are kept to a minimum and are easily replicated. OSB (oriented strand board) is composed of timber flakes making full use of the entire tree. Copyright Spinifex 2001
